It has been such a busy year I haven't had time to fit these updates in! Sirdar has launched four new chunkies, Escape Chunky, the gorgeously rich multi-hued yarn to follow on from it's well loved DK version, Crofter Chunky for a fair-isle look and more subtle shades, Persia, a boucle yarn with fantastic pattern support and Nomad another boucle but comes in a neutral shade range.
There are also new shades and patterns added to current ranges, 2 new shades in Tweedy Chunky and 3 new patterns, new shades in Sirdar Eco wool dk as well as a new book, Crofter DK has 3 new, slightly richer colours which are displayed beautifully in their new patterns.
New colours are also available in the three Click ranges and the baby yarns have gone from pastel to cocoa.
Adriafil have got some stunning new yarns
Wendy have 2 new yarns, Viva, a slightly understated bright chunky yarn with a cotton look, and Skye, a lovely rugged looking tweedy dk with shades reminiscent of the Highlands.
Noro has a new yarn coming out which we hope to be getting in shortly as well as a few new shades of Silk Garden and Kureyon
We are trying to play catch-up with Debbie Bliss at the moment without much success. We are expanding the Baby Cashmerino range as well as the Rialto 4ply and DK yarns.Their Aran and Chunky Tweed ranges are more popular than ever and we hope to have them on the site soon.
There is too much to say for now but we will try to keep you posted better

We now are turning the corner into summer and with it come the new launched cotton yarns.
Adriafil has added Fruttamix and Duo comfort to their huge range, Fruttamix is a bright and cheery dk cotton, coming in 6 flavours, each a complimenting mix of colours which knit up to pretty stripes and Duo Comfort , a cotton/ wool dk mix with a soft, muted finish, just taking the edge off otherwise bold and bright shades.
Sirdar has re-launched it's Snowflake DK yarn, making the balls smaller and hence more versatile for mix n matching with both the traditional and new shades including Lime Green, and with it the usual array of patterns to entice the knitters.
Patons have jumped onto the Eco wagon with thir Eco Cotton DK range, it guarantees to be free of artificial fertilisers and insecticides, making it better for the environment and for us.

We are looking forward to a knitty new year with lots of positive changes on the yarn scene. Our shop continues to grow, we had childrens craft workshops last year and hopefully we will have more this year.
Well Rowan has suprised us all with the early release of their new Spring /Summer mag, due middle of this month, and this one
promises to be a hit. You can even knit a peg bag for your laundry.! They are also lining up some fabulous new books including a grown up book for Milk Cotton DK, yarns and adding extra yummy shades to old favourites such as summer tweed and handknit cotton, featuring in a big way in their new mag.
Noro are changing their Silk Garden colours, ditching some of the more earthy combos for more brights. They are also launching a Silk Garden Sock wool, a 4 ply yarn which can be used for socks but looks as good in garments.
Debbie Bliss is adding colours to her brilliant Baby Cashmerino range, hopefully we will get this on the web shortly but time pressures, etc limit our updates, sorry!
Update December 2008
Fantastic news! Sirdar has launched a new version of Snuggly DK called Kisses. This yarn range has the same softness and washability of the traditional stuff but the difference is the colour range. Kisses comes in 4 cute baby shades which knit up with a marled look. Shades of light and dark are mixed in to break up the colour. Beautiful!
Twilleys has introduced a gorgeous new yarn called Gorgeous. 75% bamboo it is soft and supple with a visible sheen. The colour range has the traditional baby shades as well as a range of grown up colours, all adorable and it comes with a new range of pattern leaflets and two books, one baby, one grown up. Unfortunately though Twilleys haven't cottoned on to the fact that there is an in-between stage, so kids are not catered for, sorry!
Rowan is re-launching the popular cotton range made under the Jaeger banner, Siena in the new year. hooray! And with it will come the wave of garments to die for, which Rowan are now famous for.
That is all for now I will try to keep you posted.
Bye!
Update November 2008
We have finally recieved stocks of Sirdar's latest launch, Crofter DK, a cotton rich yarn with a "faded denim" look which tones down the colours slightly for a softer look. This knits up to the now popular jaquard or fairisle look, a series of stripes and checks, to give an intricate pattern to simple knits.
We also have the latest sock yarn from Regia, designed by Kaffe Fassett, a 6ply yarn with a range of 6 colourways, which can knit up 4ply or dk but check your tension with your pattern. To go with it is a book full of absolutely smashing knits for all ages, both guys and galsbut don't forget it does socks as well!
And at the mo the last thing to mention is the Harry Potter sock yarn range. Inspired by the latest film release the 100g balls come in fascinating shades which will appeal to all HP fans, so get knitting for christmas, socks have never been in such demand!

The weather doesn't show any signs of improvement so to cheer us up we have introduced Kaffe Fassetts beautiful Colourscape Chunky by Rowan, a gorgeously vibrant multi-hued yarn in 100% lambswool guaranteed to warm the cockles of anyones heart!
There is also Patons Shadow Tweed. Another deliciously soft chunky, easy to knit and crochet with. A shaded yarn 56% wool, which produces broad bands of complimentary colours which blend together; and a load of stunning patterns to bring out the best in this yarn.
King Cole has introduced Mirage , a softly toned DK yarn, 50% wool / 50% acrylic in a collection that is a pleasure to see. Please feel free to browse the patterns to see this one at it's best!
There is so much more to mention including another new yarn from Sirdar, which will leave Escape behind but more on this later!
